Okay, this is a little odd for both of us, you the reader and I the writer, so please bear with me.
Clark has asked me to introduce and tell a little about myself, and believe me it’s odder for me to do this than it is for you to read it. Oh and one other thing, unless I’m working on the novel (aka the endless project that will most likely never see the light of day), or am actually doing some news writing (Which I haven’t done in several years) I tend to be a very conversational writer.
Most people who read one of my blogs (yes plural) tend to prefer it, and in all honesty it makes it easier for me to write as if I were in a conversation with someone at times.
My personal background in corporate America is in management/leadership, I tend to lead more than manage at my current company, which occasionally lands me in hot water with my boss, but the way I figure it, I’d rather set an example for the guys who work for me than yell at them for setting a bad example for the new person who walks into the company. More important (to me anyway) than my current 9-5 job is the fact that I’m part of the Volunteer staff (IE put in a lot of hours for free) at Lifepoint Church. I’m the director of music, a member of the creative planning, and production teams, one of the worship drummers, and Token Asian dude (It entertains our Pastor, it works for me, though in point of fact I am NOT Korean…. err not that I have anything wrong with Koreans, actually one of my better friends in High School was Korean, it’s just that I’m not, despite all the joking that I’m the Korean Kid…. and for that matter I was one of the older guys on that trip where I got the nick-name….). Lifepoint Church (Lifepoint Ministries?) has done a lot in my life and more importantly making a huge impact in other’s lives.
In my spare time I enjoy writing, singing, drumming… (Well anything that has to do with music basically), I’m a huge fan of acapella a-capella a capella (however the heck it’s spelled!) music and have a collection that most people (fans of said genre excluded) would just shake their heads at. I tend to consider myself a student in leadership and History, as well as drumming. I’m a follower of Christ.
I feel like I’m leaving a lot out, but hopefully this will be enough for that slave driver Clark.
